Development of bio-strip based test for ascertain proper milk pasteurization

Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) enzyme is naturally present in raw milk which used as a prominent indicator to determine proper pasteurization milk. However, determination of ALP activity either time-consuming or required sophisticated instrument facilities that are uncommon India's rural dairy collection centers. Present test based on the reaction with p-nitrophenyl phosphate release p-nitrophenol and inorganic presence water. When reacts certain chromogen, strip's colour changes from purple grey, may be seen naked eye. This strip has nine-month shelf life at room temperature.
